SUPPORTING MSC

The Mississauga Skating Club Inc. is a non-profit corporation run by its members.  Every November, the Club holds an Annual General meeting of the members and a group steps forward to volunteer as the Board of Directors.  These Directors donate their personal time to run the Club for the benefit of all members and skaters.  They are responsible for renting ice, programming the skating sessions, hiring coaches and managing relations with the City of Mississauga, Skate Canada, Skate Ontario and other organizations.

However, the board members alone cannot perform all the necessary work.  When everyone contributes some of their time we will all enjoy the benefits of belonging to our skating club.  MSC requires all STARSkate families volunteer time each season to assist in Club operations.

The Club runs fundraising events from time to time, such as the sale of Clubwear, Fundscrip, Skate Ontario lottery booklets, Bingo and other events. We hope our membership will support these activities.

The financial assistance of corporate sponsors is  vital as well.  These funds help enable us to reduce the costs of our programs and assistance in finding sponsors is also greatly appreciated.

Please take an active role in supporting our Club by fulfilling your Bingo and volunteer duties (STARSkate members only), supporting our fundraisers and helping us finding sponsors for our Club. Without everyone’s help, youth programs like the one MSC provides to Mississauga residents would not be possible.
